Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst
Job Summary:
- Position responsibilities to include but not be limited to journal entries, compiling finance reports, variance analysis, reconciliations, quarterly partnership reporting, budgeting, and cost reporting
- Fixed Asset work is not a large part of this position
- This position does differ from a corporate accounting position in that the candidate will be involved in the full process from start to finish.
- The team is not segmented into tasks or portions of the process.
- Responsible for preparing, validating and analyzing financial information
- Preparing journal entries
- Maintaining fixed asset records
- Reconciling fixed asset and other general ledger account balances on a monthly basis
- Work closely with other departments to assist with fixed asset and other financial issues
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare fixed asset account reconciliations, investigating and clearing any reconciling items
- Review fixed asset project and purchase requests for proper accounting treatment and compliance with System’s capital policy
- Work closely with departments in recognizing asset retirements timely
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Assist in footnote preparation for quarterly/annual financial statements
- Perform other responsibilities or assignments as required
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3 to 5 years in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferred Education:
- Master’s Degree preferred
