Title: Certified Surgical Technician – CVOR
Location: Onsite – Jackson, MI
Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Floating: Worker may be required to float to an equal or lesser acuity area if requested.
• Offers: Auto Offers Approved
• Overtime: OT billed after 48 hours

Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technician – CVOR performs a variety of technical duties to support the surgical team in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. The position assists with maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile environment and provides technical support during cardiovascular operating room procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team with preparation and care of pre-operative patients.
• Prepare and organize the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instruments and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and organized CVOR environment.
• Follow established infection prevention, safety, and surgical protocols.
• Ensure surgical instruments and equipment are properly handled and maintained.
• Assist with other technical duties as assigned by the surgical team.

Qualifications
Required

• Graduate of a formal Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Ability to perform technical duties in a cardiovascular operating room environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience preferred.
• Additional related certifications or experience are a plus.

Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
