Systems Analyst – Hybrid position metro-Detroit with a health plan.
Work Arrangement: The resource will work offsite at this time, subject to future corporate workplace requirements. If corporate requirements change, the position may transition to a hybrid model with Detroit Towers as the onsite location.
Job Engagement

Identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications.

Support one or more moderately to highly complex business processes/systems for multiple business units.

Participate in business short-term planning sessions to understand business goals, direction, and requirements, providing input from an IT systems perspective.

Serve as a liaison between business areas, IT organizations, and vendors, coordinating with project managers to provide technical solutions that address user needs.
Job Requirements
Required Experience & Technical Skills
- 3 years of relevant experience in system solution development, testing, and implementation.
- Healthcare payer system (prefer Medicare Advantage)

Knowledge of Informatica.

Knowledge of business operations, systems requirements, and IT processes.

Production systems monitoring and availability for 24/7 on-call support on a rotational basis.

Preferred Experience
– Medicare Advantage business domain experience is a plus.
Education
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Business & Systems Analysis

Analyze customer systems and capabilities to understand strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities for system improvement.

Develop, write, and communicate systems designs, functional system specifications, and functional architecture analysis.

Identify system gaps and issues.

Work closely with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Production Support & Issue Resolution

Coordinate day-to-day business operational issues and track them through closure.

Work closely with business, vendors, and enterprise technical teams to triage production issues and track them through closure.

Support and monitor daily critical functional processes.

Identify, investigate, resolve, and escalate problems as needed.

Gather data to support recommendations for addressing problems.

Procure technical assistance to support problem resolution.
Release Management & System Enhancements

Support and coordinate release management activities.

Provide factual content for feasibility studies involving standard development projects and enhancements.
Technology Evaluation & Process Improvement

Stay abreast of new and emerging technologies.

Analyze technology trends to determine their impact on achieving business goals.

Identify issues based on the impact of new or emerging technologies or modifications to existing systems.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) & Performance

Provide input for the development of SLAs and/or forecasting activities as needed.

Review performance against SLAs.

Identify areas for improvement and support achievement of SLAs.
Team Support & Additional Duties

Coach and mentor less experienced team members.
