Job Summary
The Central Sterile Processing Technician provides sterile products and instruments to all members of the health care team.
Key Responsibilities

Provide sterile products and instruments to all members of the health care team.

Perform Central Sterile Processing Technician duties according to established procedures and requirements.

Read, write, add, subtract, and read temperature gauges as required for the position.

Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while performing assigned responsibilities.

Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Qualifications
Required
-
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
-
Completion of an appropriate Aide training program.

Completion of a Central Technician program.
-
6 months of previous experience in Central Supply.

At least 5 years of experience.

Ability to read, write, add, subtract, and read temperature gauges.

Must be punctual.

Weekend availability is required.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

NICHSPDP Certification is required as a qualification for a CSP Tech position.
Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
