Title: Certified Surgical Technician
Location: Onsite – West Bloomfield, MI
Shift Hours
• 6:30am-5pm- Looking for scrubbing skills for multiple service lines including Ortho, Ortho sports, Neuro
Schedule Notes
• Certs: CST and BLS
• Minimum Exp 3 years, prefer 5+
• Required Scrub Exp: Ortho or Neuro + other specialties
• Schedule: M-F, 6:30- 5:00 (10 or 12 hours)
Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Tech performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients
Key Responsibilities

Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.

Provides surgical technology support within the scope of the assigned role.

Performs required technical duties in support of surgical procedures.
Qualifications
Required
-
Graduate of a formal Surgical Technician program.
-
Minimum 3 years of experience.
-
Required scrub experience in Ortho or Neuro plus other specialties.
-
Experience working with multiple surgical specialties preferred based on the required scrub experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
-
BLS Certification.
-
Certified Surgical Technologist through one of the following:
-
NBSTA – Certified Surgical Technologist.
-
NCCT – Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C).
-
CST certification.
-
BLS certification.
REQUIRED SURGICAL EXPERIENCE
-
Ortho or Neuro + other specialties.
Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
