Title: RN – Labor & Delivery
Location: Onsite- Rochester, MI
Shift Hours

• 7pm-730A, Must work every other Weekend

Schedule Notes
• The candidate must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient Labor & Delivery experience
• Current NRP, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Shift: 7p-730A, Must work every other Weekend
• OT is billable after 48- hour work week

Job Summary
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.

  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Provides, delegates, supervises and documents care and teaching of patients and family.

  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.

  • Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals.

  • Ensures implementation of solutions.

  • Provides a wide variety of professional nursing services within the assigned unit/department.

  • Develops and implements effective nursing care plans based on patient needs.

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient Labor & Delivery experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

  • Current NRP certification.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Current ACLS certification.

Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
