Job Title: RN – Mother Baby
Job Summary:
- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions
Schedule:
- 36- hours/12- hour shift
- 7pm-7:30am
- Every other weekend OT is billable after 48- hour week
Required Skills & Experience:
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel
- Candidate must have experience with risk mothers & babies – BLS and NRP
- Must previously worked at a high-risk facility
- Curious – asking detailed questions, open-ended questions
- Good at documentation
- Self-starter, good communication
- Nurse to Patient Ratio – 1:5
Required Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
- BLS
Languages:
