Title: RN – Progressive Care Unit
Location: Onsite – Rochester, MI

• 7pm-7:30am

• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience, 1 Year Cerner experience
• This is a Medical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Float position
• They may also be floated to care for ED holds when needed
• Staff must have ACLS, BLS certification
• We will accept 1 week of RTO
• OT is billable after 48- hours
Job Summary
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing services within the assigned unit/department.

Works in a Medical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care Float position.

May be floated to care for ED holds when needed.
Qualifications
Required
-
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
-
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned.

Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Telemetry experience required.

1 year Cerner experience.

Experience working in Medical, Telemetry, and Progressive Care environments.

Ability to float to care for ED holds when needed.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
-
Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

ACLS certification.
-
BLS certification.
Working Conditions
Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
