Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform, and Jenkins, with experience developing cloud-native microservices and participating across the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, REST, and JSON.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services.
- Develop and maintain Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and application monitoring.
- Apply software engineering best practices, security standards, and automated testing.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Support production deployments, resolve application issues, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional Java software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java 8/11/17, object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience developing Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and VPC.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Experience developing and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with Git and modern source-control practices.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or other messaging technologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with Splunk, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar monitoring and logging tools.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and cloud security practices.
- AWS certification such as Developer Associate or Solutions Architect.
