We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This role is a true leadership position, responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives. You will act as a single point of contact for your projects, providing strong direction, clear communication, and detailed oversight to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution
- Lead small to medium-sized projects of moderate complexity from initiation through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, and resource plans in collaboration with business partners, technical teams, and vendors.
- Ensure daily and weekly project milestones are met, with a focus on proactive planning and problem resolution.
- Track and report on project health, status, risks, and accomplishments to stakeholders using dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring financial compliance, cost containment, and timely approvals for changes.
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Review project deliverables, with a strong focus on technical documentation and implementation quality.
- Coordinate with support teams to ensure smooth handoff, training, and ongoing support of delivered solutions.
Resource Planning
- Lead project staffing through resource planning and accurate labor forecasting.
- Align the right resources at the right time, ensuring availability and utilization throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage time tracking, contractor engagement, and procurement for contingent labor as needed.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to all applicable government, corporate, and departmental standards and procedures.
- Manage risks proactively, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Maintain compliance across all project documentation, technical artifacts, and execution practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of Project Management experience, with proven success leading Agile and Waterfall projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex project environments.
- Strong leadership skills with a meticulous attention to detail in planning and execution.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing project budgets and vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar).
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum certification(s) strongly preferred.
